Networking

Networking is the act of hooking things (i.e. computers) together to make them communicate. Today, everything we do relies heavily on all of our devices being networked together. From computers and tablets to smart appliances and telephones, everything needs to communicate over a network to perform the actions that we want them to do. On top of being able to communicate on the local network, most everything also needs access to the Internet to retrieve or send the information we need every day.

The importance of configuring a good, solid, well put together network is critical. From the type of wire used to how it is run through the ceiling or wall to terminating the jacks correctly, every little bit affects the performance and top speeds. We transfer so much data through our networks that any degradation of the speed can be noticed. For most business networks having an average network is no longer fast enough to support the massive amount of files that we transfer, having multiple people watching YouTube or Netflix, support the telephones working over the IP Network, or simply keeping your network or internet connection from failing.

No job is too big or too small. We have done jobs that range from simply replacing a bad network cable so that their internet works to huge multi-floor corporations with multiple server rooms connected via fiber, huge data racks, and redundant T1 lines to backup their internet connection.

Why Should I use Schearer Technology Services to setup my network?

  • We do it all - If you are in the planning stages of building or renovating a new office, let us design and install your new network the right way. We can design the network, pull the CAT5e or CAT6 cable, terminate the jacks, install racks, wire the patch panels and test the lines for connectivity. We take pride in our wire management so things will be easy to trace and reconfigure as your network needs change in the future.

  • Support Digital IP Video Security Cameras - Today's new digital video security cameras all operate over the IP network that you use for your computers. Make sure that your network can handle the additional data required by IP Cameras.

  • Join Multiple Offices - If you have multiple offices or locations, you can connect them together to be able to share servers and data as well as make your current employees more productive. No more emailing files back and forth, now they can access shared server directories from either office.

  • Clean and Professional - We realize that you are trying to run a business while we're there getting work done too. We make every effort to not disturb your employees or workflow, all while keeping a clean workspace. At the end of each day, all of our tools will be cleaned up and the jobsite will be left as clean as possible.
